Since I never learned how to wait, I wanted to know if I should read book 3 then 4 (because the are some things in book 3 that were not displayed in this season, like jeoffrey dying and stuff) or shoul I just jump to book 4. You should definitely read the third book before going into the next one. It gives base to what happens in the future, not to mention things are somewhat different in the story of the books, like the most annoying creature ever actually getting what he deserves. Though I am very much hoping that happens soon in the next season of the tv-show, too! But personally I enjoy the books even more than the series, though don’t have a bad word to say about the latter, either. Worth the read.
